Hyatts of Downtown Denver Receive Two Prestigious Awards

Denver, CO  (July, 2014) Grand Hyatt Denver and Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center, two downtown Denver, Colorado hotels, have each received two prestigious awards:  One from consumers and the other from meeting and event planners.    For the second consecutive year, they have garnered the Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence as well as Successful Meetings Magazine’s Pinnacle Award.

New Chef de Cuisine announced at Denver microbrew Pub

Chef de Cuisine Jeffrey Samoska, Pub 17 on Welton Street

DENVER, CO (May, 2014) Grand Hyatt Denver Executive Chef John Treusein announces the appointment of Jeffrey Samoska to the position of Chef de Cuisine of the Pub 17 on Welton Street. A newer addition to the Colorado craft beer scene, this downtown Denver brew pub was introduced into the Denver market in July of 2012 and promptly garnered the Sunset Magazine Editors’ Pick Award.

Chef Samoska comes to Denver from The Woodlands, Texas where he was the Chef de Cuisine, overseeing culinary operations for Hyatt Market Street, an upscale boutique hotel. He was also Chef de Cuisine at Hyatt Regency Houston for two years and Sous Chef at Hyatt Regency Greenville prior to that. He began his Hyatt career as a Culinary Corporate Management Trainee in 2008 at Hyatt Regency Orlando Airport.

Tracey Pool, Executive Assistant Manager-Rooms Division

DENVER (May, 2014) Ed Bucholtz, general manager of the award-winning downtown Denver Colorado hotel, Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center, announces the appointment of Tracey Pool as Executive Assistant Manager, Rooms Division.

Pool comes to Denver from Hyatt The Pike, Long Beach and Hyatt Regency Long Beach where she was the Hotel Manager for the last two years. Prior to that, she was the Senior Executive Assistant Manager of Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles, California. From 2004-2007, she was the Executive Assistant Manager of Hyatt Regency Baltimore. As her 28 year career with Hyatt progressed, Pool held positions at ten Hyatt Hotels on the east and west coasts. Pool studied Hospitality Management at Howard University.

Downtown Denver Hotel Announces New Catering Director

Kimberley Hribar Promoted to Director of Catering at Grand Hyatt Denver

DENVER, CO (April, 2014) Mark Stiebeling, general manager, announces the appointment of Kimberley Hribar as Director of Catering/Convention Services of the Denver CO hotel Grand Hyatt Denver.

Hribar brings to her new position an extensive background in catering, meeting and event planning. For the last for three years, she was the Assistant Director of Catering at the 1,100 room Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center. Prior to that, she was in catering at both Grand Hyatt New York and Hyatt Regency Jersey City. Hribar began her career with Hyatt in 2003 as an administrative assistant at Hyatt Regency New Brunswick.

In her new position at Grand Hyatt Denver, Hribar oversees the catering and convention services for over 52,600 square feet of flexible meeting and event space including five large ballrooms as well as the renowned Pinnacle Club by Grand Hyatt. From the Pinnacle Club’s lofty perch on the 38th floor of the adjoining office tower, the entire Rocky Mountain front range is clearly visible. Additionally, the hotel provides Personal Preference menus that allow guests a choice of entrees, a fully dedicated Kosher kitchen under the supervision of a Mashgiah, off-premise catering and more, among its long list of specialized services.
