Mark Stiebeling, General Manager--Grand Hyatt Denver

Denver, CO (September, 2013) Marc Ellin, Hyatt Hotels and Resorts Senior Vice President of Operations, the Americas, announces the appointment of Mark Stiebeling as General Manager of the newly renovated Grand Hyatt Denver, a downtown Denver Colorado hotel.

Prior to coming to the Mile High City, Stiebeling was the general manager of Park Hyatt Aviara Resort in Carslbad, California for two years. He has served as general manager for over fourteen years collectively at Hyatt premier properties that also include Park Hyatt San Francisco, Park Hyatt Washington D.C. and, more recently, Grand Hyatt and Hyatt at Olive 8 in Seattle. Stiebeling began his career with Hyatt in 1992 as Director of Sales and Marketing for Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort and Spa at Gainey Ranch.

An Ohio native, Stiebeling attended Miami University of Ohio. He will reside in Denver with his wife, Jennifer, and 11-year old son Kyle.

DENVER (July, 2013)   The staff of the AAA 4-Diamond award winning Grand Hyatt Denver, a Denver, Colorado hotel, announces the full completion of its $28 million renovation with the unveiling of a new lobby and lobby lounge, Fireside | the bar, as well as the iconic Pinnacle Club, a 38th floor Denver event facility with views that encompass the entire Rocky Mountain front range.

The bold and dynamic lobby, with a focal point of a wall of narrow, lineal fireplaces stacked on top of one another and set in chiseled stone, rises to a 29 foot ceiling. The intriguing decor showcases Fireside | the bar where a wine rack holds 315 vintages in a tempered environment. A wealth of warm touches includes wood panels overhead, relaxed comfortable seating and communal tables that are proving more and more popular for informal gatherings.  Mixologists face their guests providing a personal touch in preparing just the right cocktail to match the mood. All of the premium well spirits have their origin in Colorado, complementing organic and regionally sourced garnishes and juices. The menu, a selection of small-plate appetizers, is equally diverse and includes: Lettuce Wraps, Pork Belly Tacos, Sesame Scallops, cheese boards, flat breads, bruschetta and more.
